Are you ready for the new California and New York disclosure requirements?
Thursday, October 6, 2022, 1 p.m. CDT
Registration for this event is now closed. If you are interested in attending this event or learning more, please email Dani Cluff for more information at dcluff@tamarack.ai.
Over the last few months, Tamarack has been fielding inquiries about the new California and New York disclosure requirements. Many finance leaders did not fully recognize the impact that the new California regulations would have on their business. They also did not realize what they needed to do in order to be compliant with the new laws by December 9, 2022 or even how to get started.
To help support the finance community and share knowledge on the subject, Tamarack is hosting an invite-only “Disclosure Prep” webinar on October 6 from 1-2pm (Central) to answer any questions you may have about the new disclosure requirements and help you prepare. Even if you don’t do business in California or New York, consider joining the discussion as many states are also working through similar legislation that is expected to pass in the coming year.
Tamarack founder and CEO Daniel Nelson will be joined by Ray Wizbowski, chief marketing officer from Solifi. Together, they will go over the latest legal, operational and system integration information you need to know to prepare for these new requirements. They will also provide attendees with an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with their colleagues in what is expected to be an informative discussion.

ELFA to Hold Webinar on New Disclosure Requirements in California and New York
Thursday, July 28, 2022 1-3 p.m. EST
The ELFA announced a second webinar designed to help the equipment finance industry prepare for financial disclosure regulations scheduled to take effect in California and New York. The webinar “Operational Preparedness: Are You Ready for the New CA and NY Disclosure Requirements?” will take place on July 28, 1-3 p.m. EST.
The webinar will provide the latest legal, operational and system integration information concerning commercial financing disclosure laws that are slated to take effect on Dec. 9, 2022 in California and what is expected to be shortly thereafter in New York. The webinar will also touch on overlaps and inconsistencies among state regulations that could require redundant, tedious and/or cumbersome investments in technology, software and training to comply with the subtle and material differences between the state laws.
This event will feature an experienced panel and attendees will be invited to ask questions during an interactive Q&A session. Speakers will include: Scott Riehl, vice president of state government relations at the ELFA, Troy Kepler, corporate counsel at Channel, Daniel Nelson, CEO at Tamarack Technology, Moorari Shah, partner at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton and Robert S. Cohen, partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff.
“As state legislators introduce consumer-like enhanced finance disclosure requirements for commercial transactions, ELFA’s state government relations team is focused on protecting the interests of our members and the equipment finance industry,” Ralph Petta, president and CEO at ELFA, said. “It is critical for members to be aware of the potential impact of the California and New York regulations on their businesses and steps they can take to prepare. We encourage members to participate in this important webinar.”
