Position Summary
Tamarack is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to define and perform moderate to complex analysis tasks and oversee or participate in projects that improve the quality of information for clients in the Equipment Finance and Commercial Lending industries. We want someone who enjoys the challenge of wearing multiple hats and is dedicated to providing quality and consistent service to our clients. Candidates should be able to work under minimal supervision, collaborate with other team members, and have a strong passion for learning and growth.
Position Accountabilities
- Builds and maintains relationships with Tamarack clients to develop an understanding of their businesses in order to make sound recommendations in responding to their needs.
- Works with customers to understand issues and identify solutions related to inefficiencies resulting in process changes or custom enhancements. Documents business requirements for custom enhancements.
- Acts as subject matter expert providing user base with best practices.
- Provides production support by providing problem analysis and resolution should issues arise.
- Ability to be the lead consultant on client projects (implementations, system assessments, migrations, etc).
- Participates in preparing project proposals including developing estimates.
- Documents user stories for creating technical specifications.
- Participates in test case development, project testing, deployments, and post-production support.
- Maintains adherence to project schedules and timelines.
- Prioritizes multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
- Communicates ideas and status on tasks and projects to leadership team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Required
- Proven experience as a business/system analyst
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effective written and verbal communication and leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Time-management ability to handle multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Preferred
- Equipment Finance background
- Experience with Equipment Finance accounting platforms e.g Solifi Portfolio Management (formerly InfoLease), Odessa, etc
- Experience in business process modeling and data modeling
- Ability to work with data reporting tools (SQL, PowerBI, etc)
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, IT, or related field
- Experience in Equipment Finance or Commercial Lending industries preferred
