Everyone knows culture matters in business. Leadership builds culture—so when a company earns a workplace award, it’s more than just recognition. It’s a reflection of strong leadership, intentional culture-building, and commitment to people. We are excited that three Tamarack customers were recognized this month by The Minnesota Star Tribune as Top Workplaces or National Standard Setters:
- Channel – #17 (midsize)
- KLC Financial – #42 (small)
- Oakmont Capital Services – National Standard Setter
The annual awards always come from employee feedback; they are a recognition of a culture that understands and is aligned by mission, vision and values. These companies don’t just perform; they constantly strive to perform even better. If you work at a recognized company, you look forward to coming to work and you know what you are going to do to perform better that day.
So, it should come as no surprise that these businesses have received other accolades as well:
- After KLC jumped to the top of the Monitor 101+ list, they had the opportunity to join Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company to continue their rapid growth.
- Oakmont won the 2023 ELFA Ops and Tech award before joining JA Mitsui.
- Channel adds the Top Workplace award on top of its 2024 EFLA Ops and Tech award.
Recognition of Channel’s CEO Brad Peterson as Leader of the Year by the Monitor last year drives home the truism that “culture comes from leadership.” I know firsthand that Spencer Thomas, CEO of KLC, and both Joe Leonard, CEO, and Daryn Lecy, COO, of Oakmont Capital Services, also fit that mold.
These three companies are growing and winning in the marketplace and that makes them great customers. We are so pleased to be a part of their journeys, learning with them and from them along the way.
Congratulations all.
