Tamarack Technology names Scott Nelson, Chief Technology Officer.

Reflecting the changing application of technology within the equipment finance industry, Tamarack has named Scott Nelson as the company’s chief technology officer (CTO). The new title represents the expansion of the company’s technology applications and its commitment to stay at the forefront of cutting-edge technology.

“In the last four years, the equipment finance industry has embraced strategies to leverage the data that exists within organizations to improve operational performance,” said Nelson. “With data in hand, companies are now in a position to implement technology – including AI – that streamlines processes, enhances customer satisfaction and amplifies the potential from data- driven business insights. The shift in my title parallels what is happening within Tamarack and the industry.”

In his dual role as CTO and president at Tamarack, Nelson is responsible for overseeing the company's overall technology strategy, driving product innovation, and ensuring the seamless integration of advanced technologies across Tamarack's product portfolio as well as business operations.

When Nelson joined Tamarack as chief digital officer in 2020, his role was focused on leading efforts to realign the business strategy around investment in digital transformation initiatives in order to provide greater value across the equipment finance industry. Since then, his role continued to evolve to reflect the expansion of technology use within the industry. He has spearheaded innovative solutions that positioned the company at the forefront of technological advancements and served as an industry evangelist, educating companies on accessing and activating the dark data that exists within every organization.
